Friday Focus – November 29, 2019

Hello everybody!

Here is your weekly dose of Friday Focus, a smattering of what I’m reading, listening to, learning, watching or pondering.

What I’m reading7 Reasons Why I don’t Shop on Black Friday by MOMONPURPOSE.COM. This is a lighthearted blog post by a mom who just isn’t doing the Black Friday thing. Enjoy.

What I’m watchingDealt Documentary (Amazon, others) Thanks to Tim Ferris and his 5-Bullet Friday for suggesting this. Using his description: “This absolutely blew my mind, and I don’t want to spoil it with description.” Trust me and watch the short trailer here. Truly amazing. I can’t remember the last time I finished a documentary, only to want to immediately watch it again. I also can’t remember a doc that made me as emotional as this did, pushing me from laughter to tears. It’s a masterful visual biography.”

Practicing ridiculous generosity: Behaving generously is a pathway to a richer, fuller life. Behaving generously opens our hearts and minds to the larger picture of gratitude, joy and living a peace-filled life. In the next several installments of Friday Focus, I will be offering “the week’s ridiculous generosity challenge.” If you don’t like the one I propose, feel free to create your own.

Your challenge this week, should you choose to accept it: “See a bicycle with a basket parked on the street? Put flowers in it.”

Quote I’m pondering – “We have to be able to grow up. Our wrinkles are our medals of the passage of life. They are what we have been through and who we want to be.” ~ Lauren Hutton
