Here is your weekly dose of Friday Focus, a smattering of what I’m reading, listening to, learning, watching or pondering.
What I’m reading – Healing from Infidelity: The Divorce Busting Guide to Rebuilding Your Marriage After an Affair, Michel Weiner-Davis. This is a great resource not only for therapists, but also for those who are going through this very difficult experience. Michele is an excellent writer and draws on her vast experience working with couples from a Solution Focused Model.
What I’m watching – The Crown – Season 3 (Netflix). I just so enjoy watching this series. That’s all.
New for March! Monthly Couple Challenge – Take a class together. Whether it’s cooking, wine tasting, painting, a community education course, or yoga, experiencing something new together sparks the feel-good chemicals that were so abundant early on in your relationship.
We’ll do this on March _____________.
We’ll do it again? Yes / No When? _____________
Want to change anything___________________?
Sacred Scripture I’m pondering – “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him, it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord….. Sit alone in silence…” Lamentations 3:25-26,28
Quote I’m pondering – “I suppose there is no more counterintuitive spiritual idea than the possibility that God might actually use and find necessary what we fear, avoid, deny, and deem unworthy.” ~ Eager to Love: The Alternative Way of Francis of Assisi, p. 102. (Thank you, Jules Arceneaux, for sharing this with me)
