Here is your weekly dose of Friday Focus, a list of what I’m enjoying, learning or pondering.
Article I’m reading –
Men, Women and the Mystery of Love: Practical Insights from John Paul II’s Love And Responsibility, by Edward Sri. Preparing the research for a paper I’m writing, I read again this wonderful book that lays a power foundational understanding on the mysterious dynamics between men and women in the context of mature and responsible
What’s inspiring me –
Listening to the O Antiphons brings calm and serenity. The season of Advent continues to be my favorite season. The O Antiphons are used during the last seven days of Advent, traditionally at the evening prayer known as “Vespers”. They refer to the prophecy spoken of in the book of Isaiah – of the coming of the Messiah. A wonderful 7-day exploration of hope and anticipation.
A place to surf on the web –
Alaska Aurora Cam – Daily Images posts incredible images of the Northern Lights. Majestic and awesome are appropriate descriptors of the Aurora Borealis. This is on my list of things I want to see in person sometime in my life.
Quote I’m pondering –
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” H. Jackson Brown Jr.
And as always, please let me know your requests and suggestions on Twitter. Which focus point above is your favorite? What do you want more (or less) of? Let me know. Just send a tweet to @daniel_jurek and put #FridayFocus in there so I can find it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
