Hello everybody and Happy Easter!
Here is your weekly dose of Friday Focus, a list of what I’m enjoying, learning or pondering. See my BIG
ANNOUNCEMENT at the P.S. – bottom of the page.
What I’m reading –
The Wisdom of Listening, edited by Mark Brady was given to me as a gift from a woman who was seeing me for
Spiritual Direction a few years ago. The book is never far from my desk and the short segments in the book are
wonderful pearls of wisdom for the power that is Listening. To be heard, to be seen and to be understood by
another is absolutely a sacred experience.
What I’m watching –
My wife and 17 year old daughter cherish watching classic old movies. Tonight as I’m writing this Friday Focus, I’m
thoroughly enjoying watching them watch the 1938 classic, The Adventures of Robin Hood, starring Errol Flynn and
Olivia de Havilland. What a gem of a movie.
What I’m listening to –
Thanks to the three folks who in one week suggested I listen to “Reckless Love” by Cory Asbury. Of course I love
this acoustic version.
Quote I’m pondering –
“We’re all homeless making our way back home.”– Denver Moore as quoted from the movie, “Same kind of
Different as Me”
And as always, please let me know your requests and suggestions on email. Which focus point above is your
favorite? What do you want more (or less) of? Also, Please share with me what you are reading, learning,
pondering and watching. I may just share it with others in a future edition of Friday Focus.. Just email me at
Have a wonderful weekend!
Peace and all good
